8. How to donate
We have chosen two charitable projects as recipients of funds raised through the Long Road Home ride. Both charitable projects involve helping children, through the power of sport for development.
The cost of the two projects is US$140k. We hope to raise this amount by end August. This will mean the projects can start before end 2006.The Cambodia project is to set up a sports centre for 5,000 underprivileged children in Sihanoukville, and needs US$40k. The Pakistan project is to set up recreation facilities for up to 10,000 earthquake-affected children and needs US$100k from us.
You can choose whether you want to donate to Cambodia or Pakistan project, or you could split your donation, giving some to both.

Donate by Cheque
You can send a cheque to Reuters Foundation at their office at The Reuters Building, South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5EP.
For more information please contact foundation@reuters.com
If you want to give money to the Pakistan project, your cheque should be made out to Right To Play. If you want to give money to the Cambodia project, your cheque should be made out to International Childcare Trust.
Julia at Reuters Foundation is taking care of paying the cheques into the RTP and ICT bank accounts. Both RTP and ICT have set up separate accounts for our donations. We can thus easily track how we’re doing against the target.
You can see the current total raised for Cambodia and Pakistan, and the current grand total, on this Long Road Home website.
There is more information about the specific projects on the page called ‘Our charitable projects’.
